Ok so one day I decided to dye my hair dark dark brown. I kinda liked it but after a couple of months I decided I like my old hair better. My old hair is a light brown and compared to that my hair looked black. So we went to the hair stylist to dye my hair back. the stylist said she was going to strip my hair then color over with light brown. When she stripped my hair was orange so then she dyed my hair light brown and it turned out the EXACT same way as it was before!!! My hair hadnt changed a bit, it was still the same dark dark dark brown! So what she did was use a light bleach. My hair then turned light brown except it has some redish orangish tones in my hair!!! especially in my roots! It looks horrible! And we cant find another good stylist. Im wondering what color I can dye my hair so the red and orange tones could go away besides waiting for it to wash out. im afraid if I dye it then it will turn back to the dark dark brown. and I dont want that to happen! please HELP! what color should I dye my hair to get rid of the red and orange!?
Purple. do something totally out there till you figure it out its way better than a shit die job. aka I went blonde, I went swimming, it turned green, I died it pink and cut it super short till it sorted out
You can buy a normal dye and use a no red/ no brass packet. They sell them at beauty supply stores. That should get rid of the red and stop the dye from pulling red.
Think of the color star. Green neutralizes Red Blue neutralizes Orange. So you would want to use a Blue/Green base to cancle the orange red.
