Getting married, and not telling anyone

Well as a joke, my girlfriend said to me, we should elope, meaning( to run off secretly to be married, usually without the consent or knowledge of one's parents). Now me and her are thinking about it a lot now, and me and my girlfriend are like why not, you kow. Well what do you think? Should we, or no? And why so, or not?

well to rephrase that question, we really want to get married later, in life, but we jusy love eachother so much that, when she said it as a joke, it made us think why not, and we can still have a wedding later in life ya know.

if you want to then sure go ahead! like you said you can always have an official wedding with all of your family and friends later on.
