I think it is up to the couple, if they are ready then go for it. I was engaged at 17 and married at 21. I did not think that was to young, I am not with this person anymore but he was my high school sweet heart and a wonderful man. I think we were both ready and we are both remarried
I don't think you can put a age to being mature and ready for marriage. But I do take it seriously. I think sometimes people take these vows as a joke and just know that if they want out they can get a divorce. I would make sure it would be what they are ready for and that they are doing it for all the right reasons and that is becasue they are in love and they are ready to share the rest of there life together.

If you found someone you love and that makes you happy hold on to that. because the grass is not greener and you are not missing anything.

I personally dont think a 19 yr old teen knows what they want yet. People are constantly growing and changing, especially when they’re young and are still trying to figure out who they are as human beings. Why do teens want to get married? Is it because they dont like it at home anymore, and want out? Are you afraid of losing him, and you feel marriage will bind you for life? Or that you are so in love, and this is the next step? Those are not good reasons for marriage.

*~Statistics~*

**According to Teenage Couples: Caring, Change, and Commitment, by Jeanne Warren Lindsay:

More than 60% of teenage marriages fail within 5 years**

Saying No to your partner as a teenager does not mean saying No forever. Why start out with the odds against you? If you are truly in love, that love will still be there waiting when you are ready and mature enough to deal with the problems and issues of marriage.
