I dont really mind gay marriage or gays or lesbians. A lot of people I know are gay and half of my friends are bisexual. Im christian and I read the bible but I think that if you love someone you should have the right to be with them. Im not sure if the state I live in ( illinois) legalized gay marriage but that would be great! I think everyone should have the right of marriage.
I used to live with a lesbian couple - I lived with them for 3 years. They started out as being my 2 best friends and when I moved in I didnt know they were lesbian. Then they told me and I didn't really bat an eyelid - it made no difference to me, they were still the same great people. I then started being friends with some of their other friends who were gay and lesbian. I am not afraid of them, I don't think it is wrong, and it doesn't bother me. They plan on getting married sometime soon and I will be going to the wedding. Im not sure exactly where they will get married, as they can't do it here in Australia. But I will be there to celerbrate with them. As for having children, the only problem I would have with that is that the child is going to get picked on at school most likley. But if they are raised to be strong and confident they should be okay.
1. as far as I know, only Massachusettes(sp?) has legalized gay marriage.
2. I believe there is nothing wrong with liking someone of the same sex, if you feel that way, nothing should stop feelings? That is kind of the government interferring in YOUR personal life, which SHOULD be unconstitutional.. I mean as a parent, sure you should have a say.. I guess... but well, its still a personal choice I guess. Nobody should interfere with love.
3. I think they should be able to adopt children, as long as they love the child, and give the child a nice, safe, home.. thats all adopted kids could ask for! No matter what sex the parent prefers.
Sorry for all spelling mistakes. Well, this is all I can offer on this subject, Hope I helped! ~sorry for writing so much~
Your sexuality is part of who you are. Just like your race, eye color, and REAL personality. You are born gay/lesbian/bisexual. I hate it when people say things like, Being gay is a choice, and a bad one.
We are all people anyways, no matter the arguments people make. Hating people because of their sexuality is like hating people for being themselves. PEOPLE!!! WE ARE ALL PEOPLE!!!
In Texas(where I live) it is illegal for homosexuals to get married. Love is love though. It does not matter who you get married to, as long as you love him/her.
People who make religious arguments are not very smart. Regardless of your religion there are people who have different beliefs from you, who could care less what you think. Plus, the 'separation of church and state' idea was enforced for a reason.
Another thing I hate is when people say something alone the lines of, I don't care if people are gay. I have a lot of gay friends and I love them as friends. They have no right to get married, for it is not natural
Those arguments make no sense.
I have no problem with gay people or gay marriage.
In fact I support gay marriage for the main reason that it gives the couple some sort of legal right and protection if something is to happen to the other person. It's only fair after all.
Plus if you love someone, you should be able to choose to live happily together for the rest of your life, no matter what gender, sexual orientation or whatever you are.
There is nothing that I have against gay couples. I dont like the idea of marriage because it could set legal precidence for religous leaders to be charged with descriminations should they refuse to marry a gay couple. I do however believe that they should have virtually every right as a regular couple.
Kids is a touchy subject. I have absolutly. no problem with gays as parents my main concern is how they would be treated at school. But it would be benefital because many of them would probably do it by adoption. I believe that sexual orientation has nothing to do with parenting skills so its not really that big of a problem.

Uh, They cannot help it! Damn, you really need to get SOME facts straight. Even look it up! It has to do with the pituitary gland in the head. Insest people should be allowed too. I guess it is interesting but who is someone to say no, you like you're sister so, no. Thusly, you aren't going against what it is...You are actually doing what you where designed to do! I asked for you're opinion. No bashing of gays, insest people and handicaps.
I supose you believe insest people have the right to get married too.. they love eachother just as much as any gay couple.,.
You really want to go on to this topic? Then fine. Incest was BANNED because it INCREASES the chances of abnormalities in children born between siblings and even certain family members, not because it is immoral...it because publicly unacceptable because of the above fact...
I don't have a problem if cousins marry...in my country and in fact MOST countries in the world it is LEGAL. Maybe if you actually took some time to understand what the terms mean you won't blindly just quote some opinion that was probably anyway passed on to you...jeez some people are ignorant. Plus what harm does it do to allow gay people to marry...it's not like you have to marry one.
The thing about gay marriage is that it doesn't really effect anyone.
It effects me and my love because we're both men. It effects the rest of the 10% of the population that is gay.
It does not impact the 1% that is asexual in any way, shape or form.
It also does not impact the 89% that are straight. I cannot figure out why straight people think they should have a say in this. It doesn't effect them.
The love of my life's name is Roger. I'm significantly younger than him. I hear horror stories about men like us who made a life together like any normal couple, then when one partner dies, his family somehow manages to take everything away from the other.
Roger and I live in Illinois. We have been very, very careful that we're bulletproof. I have a living will, which specifies that if anything happens to me, my child goes to him, along with all of my money. Still, I worry about what might happen if, God forbid, something terrible happens.
