Can a 7-year-old be gay?

ok im a 14 year old girl and today I was hanging around with my 7 year old friend, whose a girl too.lol. After sometime she starts saying crap like 'I love you and I want to marry u. come with me and ill take you to an island where no one is...and we can live together'... I was like...what the hell???!?!? is this even appropriate for a 7 year old to be talking cwrap like this? I mean it would be fine with me if guy said that to a girl but its really disturbing when a freaking 7 YEAR OLD gIRL says that to ANOTHER GIRL!!!

what should I do? SHould I tell that girl's mom about this? or what??

It would be fine if a little boy said it? That is quite homophobic, you may want to reflect on that.

When kids are young they often mix up love with friendship or love with idolization. She probably wants to look up to you and wants to spend time with you, and doesn't realize the romantic undertones with marriage. Kids can get these feelings confused sometimes, it's normal.

she is only 7, weird things enter childrens minds when they are young, she obviously doesnt mean it. She is probably going thru a phase and will snap out of it. Just dont encourage her when she says things like that and try changing the subject. she will eventually grow out of it and prob forget she even said those things.

maybe she just doesnt fully understand what what shes saying means exactly

but if she was serious you never know, because puberty starts at earlier ages then ever before

I think a 7 yr old can be gay but just not know it yet.
