Gauges

Any advice for skipping from 14g to 10g?
I know youre not supposed too, but I've asked around and all I've heard is that itll hurt more. Any way to make it easier/ less painful?
Or should I just go to a 12g then a 10g?

Try adding another 14 in the hole with your 14 and just have both in their, then go down. it can help with the pain.

14g to 10g is fine... Its gunna be alittle painful but just dont think about it to much. just push the gauge through. Atm I'm trying to gauge my ear to atleast a 2 ... I'm buying a gauger set. much easier.

I've gauged my ears all the way to 0... I gauged one at a time though.

If you're going to try and skip gauges, just go to a head shop, hot topic, piercing shop, etc. (somewhere that sells bigger gauges) and buy a taper to the size you want to go up to.

I find it's easiest, and least painful, to gauge after a hot shower (the skin is relaxed and loose). Take the plastic taper and put some vaseline on it, and push it into the hole. After you get it in place, clean off the excess vaseline (it doesn't hurt you, vaseline is safe), put the rubberbands on both ends and have fun sleeping for a few weeks until they heal.

Leave the tapers in for a little while, at least until you can move them freely without pain, otherwise you take the chance of easily infecting your ears.

If you plan to gauge beyond this point, I suggest using padlocks. The weight on your ears will eventually stretch the hole so that you can just slide the new gauge in without a taper and lots of pain.

Good luck.

It's not ok to skip.

You can get a blowout, which not only is excruciatingly painful, it's EXTREMELY easy to get it infected, and it might make it so that your ear can no longer be gauged.

Urrg basically I dont care about pain all that much,
I just wanted it to take less time.
Probably shouldn't rush...
And I know you needa wait at least 2 weeks between gauging.
Well I'll get to the right one eventually.
Thanks for yerr help.
