Game boy advance questions

Hi, I've never had a hand held game before.
And they are selling game boy advance at the local gaming store for 20$ used. I was just wondering weather you can send messages back and forth to someone with another game boy advance in the same room....

Also I know they probably can't get on the wifi thing like the ds right? I have searched about advance features on google but can't find anything, so any info would be cool. My sister says that if the battery runs out you can't save games anymore? I dunno just let me know anything about one if you've had one Thanks guys 3

for 20 bucks you can't really go wrong. im pretty sure they have a link cable so that you can play a few games with friends in the same room, but not all. an no, can't get on the wi. for 20 bucks though it doesn't matter. I might go pick one up now, lol

no, you cant send messages to people in the same room
the link cable is only for things like trading or battling someone else
its not like a phone or anything
and no, it doesnt connect to the wii
and you can still save your games and data
its just that if the battery dies in the middle of you playing
and you didnt save your progress
THEN it will be lost
its pretty much like having a gameboy but with some better games
