It's a federal law in the United States. We can't collect information from people who aren't 13 years of age, per COPPA (children's online privacy protection act).
So, it has nothing to do with trying to limit members, and everything to do with complying with the laws that govern the country where our business is located.
There are certain stuff for kids that they are not allowed to see or watch or sign up for. im 13(thanks god!) for example, when I was below 13, I wasnt allowed to sign up here, or do any other stuff! I wasnt allowed to watch moment of truth, friends, or even missing!! but now I am!!! I cant belive it!!

I know from the FAQ link http://www.funadvice.com/doc/faq that you must Keep in mind that you do need to be over the age of 13 to use this site. Could you explain why that is?
