How to Manually Enter FTA Satellite Receiver Keys
This document explains the process of updating free to air receiver keys. In most cases, free to air satellite receivers to do have the controls for inputting new decryption keys.
As previously explained here, satellite television operates on the principal of locked (scrambled) signals. These signals require a key to unlock (unscramble) them. The keys used to unlock scrambled signals change very frequently. Satellite television subscribers need not worry about keys or entering in codes, however those using free to air satellite receiver boxes have to contend with ever changing keys. To complicate matters, changing the keys is not as easy as it seems. It is easy - the second time around. The first time requires a small investment of your time. The problems are basically, navigation within the receiver, where to actually change the keys, and of course where to get the current keys. (freekeys.info) has you covered for all of this. Just don’t forget to bookmark us! Or better yet, subscribe to our RSS feed for the latest hourly keys updates
It depends which FTA product you have.
On ours we get the code off the computer and put it on a USB thing, then we stick the USB thing in our FTA box then click 'Menu' - ''System Information' - 'Receiver upgrade' - then go down to the 'USB' one and click OK and choose the right code.
