I think everyone has had a friend like that at some point in their lives. I call them friendly foes. They're a friend that seems to make a competition out of everything. I don't see anything wrong with being friends with them, but I wouldn't make them your absolute close friend either. You also have to weigh the friendship you have, against the competition between the two of you. A little friendly competition isn't always bad, but if it gets to the point of being down right annoying, and cruel, then I think I'd start looking else where for better friends. There's a fine line between friendly foes and toxic friends. (A toxic friend is only interested about themselves and uses your imperfections as an ego boost. They are equivalent to a cancer in your life.)

So I have this friend who is like really nice but she got straight as and I got all as and bs so she thinks shes better that me. (well at least thats what I think) so anyway last time I got an f in math and went up to b. And my friend is always so nice to me and is like a saint and has never done anything mean in her life. But! When I told her I got a b in math she said ''so what? I got straight as.'' (she told me she got straight as a thousand times) and that made me sooo mad! What do I do? Should I not be her friend anymore??? ):
