The default on this site is that friend requests are automatically accepted. If someone requests you for a friend - boom, you are there.
For instance, I have 110+ friends on my profile and I have never requested one nor confirmed one. I'm glad to have them all, and I try to thank each and every one, but they have all come from people reading what I have written - I am guessing.
You can set your profile to NOT automatically accept by going to your profile, click Edit My Profile, then click 'Friend management' and change the check mark.

Why does it say i sent the friend request?
Why is it that sometimes when someone adds me I go to there profile to accept their friend invite and it says Friend request sent When they added me in the first place!? I mean is this just Funadvice tricking people into adding everyone or what?
