Found a great guy but cant open up to him! what do i do?

patient and understanding. Its now been 8 dates we've been on and he's asked me if we should become officially boyfriend/girlfriend.

This is my problem, however. Im still a bit scared since the only other guy I've been with cheated on me and therefore I dont know if I can fully trust him to not do the same. He said he'll never hurt me but can I trust his word just yet? He's also been on 20 dates in the past 9 months (all only 1 or 2 dates) and says they mean nothing because he's found me.

What do I do? I want to be with him but Im scared of opening up my heart to get hurt again.

well you never know, talk to his friends, see what they say about him. he was probably just dating to find that right person, apparently its you that hes fallen for. dont let the past relationships destroy your future ones. just stay aware. but if you like him back then talk to him, tell him that youve been hesatint because you went through a bad relationship that has you kinda scared. if he loves you like he says he does then he will understand.
