Why are my food cravings so strange around my cycle?

Usually for a week before I get my period,
I Get real bad cramps,Bad Headaches,and even Worse food Cravings.
I eat so much its insane.
And then once I get my period,I dont eat like at all.
Why is this?
Is it normal?

well its different for every girl, I get food cravings too AND breakouts! but its normal. just make sure you don't starve yourself and eat good servings

I think you just described my cycle, except I also have mood swings the week before too, then once I start, I don't want to argue or be mean to anyone!

I'm exactly the same. Just don't starve yourself. I think the reason is that the clearer your stomach is, the easier it is, or something along those lines. That's why loads of people get diarrhea just before their periods... So yeah, don't worry. Periods are just weird things, and scientific mysteries, but they're a natural process, so nothing is wrong.
