Should I wear a pad or a tampon when I sleep, I just got my period yesterday and by flow is hevier evrytime I get it. Also since its my first time is it at all possible for my period to be regular the first year, or should I have pads/tampons with me/in...

my undies 24/7???

tampons are more dangerous to wear. especially if you sleep for a long period of time.

No it only comes once a month. Since its your first time this might only last 3 or 4 days. Some people think its best to have a pad while you sleep, but I personally like tampons better because since your lying down it will dripp and will make a mess. So probably a tampon would be best.

a normal one or an overnight one
you should never wear a tampon to sleep
tamons should only be in you for a maximum of 4 hours
keeping them in longer increases your risk of getting tss
(toxic shock syndrome) which can be fatal
only ever wear pads to sleep
no one should be wearing tampons to bed

I would definately wear a pad. I never wear tampons to bed. Plus, wearing a tampon for too long can increase the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome. It wouldn't be safe to wear a tampon to bed. So a pad would be best!
