the chicken! one day a chicken was born with adapted or mutated dna, that allowed it to have a egg, instead of giving birth, and this chickens genes were passed down and so on then natural selection took over and the chickens laying eggs out lived the birthing ones and so on you get the point!

Until God caused the animals to multiply, there was just the original, in this case the chicken. It wasn't til later that it decided to cross the road.
