What's your AA degree in? Even though some government agencies or medical institutions are not allowed to hire people with felony conviction, there's a growing trend for corps, both small and big, to hire ex-felons. Start with a job site and do a search for jobs in your area then phone or meet with the HR people of the place(s) you'd like to work at and explain to them your situation. (You've already surpassed the 5 year mark and if you've not incurred any additional charges/convictions then you should be fine--if you're still on probation/parole there may be a problem.) A key goal for incarcerated folks is to rehabilitate and provide to them the skills and education necessary in returning to and functioning in society. You've already accomplished this by getting a college education which is invaluable. You should also attempt to contact an ombudsman or advocate in your state and learn more about your rights after jail or with any discrimination that may happen by future employers. Best of luck to you! -S

Where can an ex-felon find a good job?

Where can I find a good job? I have an AA degree and seeking a BS degree. But I am a ex-convict, which was over six years ago.
