Hi,
It's unlikely, unfortunately. I am getting my Masters in Public Administration, learning how to work in government management, and one of the first questions usually listed on any application is if you've been convicted of a felony. I wouldn't count on getting a government job, but I'm sure you'll be able to find something else. Just be honest.
Good luck.
negative. they won't let you work for the federal government if you have a felony and sometimes they wont even let you work for the government if you are INVOLVED with someone who has a violent felony or drug charge.
Having a felony on your record is not a bar to federal employment. Most agencies will look at what it was and how long ago. Felons with a violent criminal past would be wasting their time to apply however.
Yes you can if you want to further contribute to the criminal element , the Federal Government will hire or should I say pay you (the put you on the payroll) to be a paid informant or a confidential informant , you job description will be to provide them with information to make more arrest or build cases on specific individuals ,groups or institutions , most often you will use entrapment and also you can fabricate or just outright lie to help the government in turn they will use your word and work to arrest and convict ! So see they do hire convicted and not yet convicted felons

Can a convicted felon work for the federal government?
