When someone asks (or answers) a question and they mark their entry as anonymous, FunAdvice substitutes 'fau' in place of their name. Also removed is the connection between that question and the shy person. So that person can't go to his list of questions he asked and find a link to that question.
I believe 'fau' does stand for Fun Advice User, but it could stand for something else, too.
