Ell: My mom does the same thing, and did the entire time I was growing up. I don't know what's up with that. She is a lunatic and it never stopped. She used to make me feel like the biggest most useless piece of sh*t in existance. It think it's mania. They diagnosed her with manic depression when I was like nine (her job told her she had to see a psychiatrist) but I've never seen her depressed, only angry. She was good for the one or two months that she actually took her meds but after that she stopped taking them because she had some serious denial problems. So tell your dad that you understand and you know he can't help it, but that he is hurting your feelings and damaging your emotions. TRUST ME, it IS damaging your emotions, and mental state. I'm twenty now and I have some issues that aren't really that great. I used to be a really nice girl when I was younger, but the last couple of years that I had to spend in the house with my mother killed me, and I haven't seen her since I left for college. You DO NOT want to end up with my problems, if you ever get into a relationship you'll start to see all the things that got effected by it and you'll hate life until you figure out how to fix everything. Tell him to go to a doctor, for you, and tell him how it makes you feel when he yells at you. I hope it works out better for you than it has for me.
wow thats creepy...my sisters friend has that life...her parents are crazy. the only difference...they hate her but love her sister and she got yelled at for getting a b+...also her dad left her at school after track today for 2 hours so its crazy...I dont know maybe ask him to lighten up.
Ell: Yeah, that's wierd. My mother loved my brother too. That's why it was so rough the last couple of years because he went off to military school and there was like nothing left for her to live for or something. He always kind of mediated the arguments and stuff because he was sane, because our mother actually raised him. Our dead left when I was nine. And I definately remember being left at school for hours after field hockey practice. He needs mental help, they all need mental help, if they don't get it, then in a few years you will need mental help. I'm lucky that Brian is good enough to put up with me.
