Do you need to give your last name on facebook?

On Facebook.com do you need to give your last name or can you make one up if you want to? Because my friend has an account on there, but I don't want one if I have to let other people see my last name. You get it...

You're supposed to give 'real info'...however, I'm 100% sure that some of their 40 million profiles are fake.

Is there anything we can do, on FunAdvice, that would make you invite your friend here, instead of visiting them there?

No I am perfectly fine with everything here actually. I check it everytime I check my myspace which is just about everyday. : )

To answer you question like no one else has,,, Yes you can make up a fake name I have done it before make up a name an adreess and a phone number !

The idea of facebook is to use your real name so your friends and family that you may have lost contact with can find you. Facebook is not for people trying to escape from these people but you can block anyone you want from seeing your site.
