Is it possible to add extra graphics card to a laptop? Does a regular pci express card work in a laptop?

It depends on the laptop - specifically the model. Most laptops, except for the very high-end ones, generally won't have a removable/upgradeable slot for the graphics. A regular PCI-E card won't work with a laptop - its unlikely to have the socket for starters.

The usual method of expansion for laptops is either USB add-ons, or PCMCIA/ExpressCard add-ons. PCMCIA is like PCI for laptops, and the newer ExpressCard is more comparable with PCI-E, but for laptops. There are graphics cards available that use these slots and so improve your graphics, but first you need to find out whether your laptop has PCMCIA or ExpressCard slots. If you don't know which your laptop has got, funmail me your laptop model and I'll be able to find it out for you.
