Expiration date on vitamins?

I have some vitamins, mostly health like hair skin nails and mutlivitamins that are about a year past expiration date. Are they still o.k. to take them? Should I take extra pill if quality is diminished?

You should never take any medication or vitamin that is past is expiration date.

If there still sealed there probably still ok to take for a while it depends what they are really if not then deffintly not. Some vitimins that are sealed can last years after there expiration date as long as they remain sealed.

I take over 10 differnt vit pills a day lol.

if they are not sealed...then toss them...usually vitamins loose potency and nutrition...same as medication...when your Advil or Tylenol goes past expiration..toss it..doesn't have the same affect as a brand new bottle would

but I tend to not take medication...I rely on multivitamins and herbs to keep me healthy...usually works since I only get sick about once a year

lol once I took some travel sickness tablets..they were 5 years ova the expiary date..I was fine but I would not recommend anyone taking expierd tablets..x
