Ex boyfriend or best friend?

Me Asked by xtearsinheavenx 11 months ago, 5 answers.

On monday I went to my ex boyfriends house and told him I still have feelings for him. We kissed, but I had a boyfriend at the time and felt mega guilty. But the next day I broke up with my boyfriend. and didn't feel guilty about kissing my ex. My ex...

confessed he still loves me, he just wants to be single for a while. When I got back home though, I found out that my best friend has a massive crush on me and was going to ask me out, but then found out about me and my ex boyfriend.
I'm going to the cinema with him (my best friend) this weekend, it's just going to be me and him.
My ex phoned me up today and told me he'll ask me out for definete on new years eve. He hasn't been single for over a week since june, so I don't really blame him for wanting to be single for a while. But I'm scared incase my best friend asks me out. But I do like him, but I like my ex boyfriend more
I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense, but if it does make sens then can someone help me please?
x

Well, you said you have more feelings for your ex, so I would go with him. Plus, if you go out with your best friend and things don't work out, that could potentially ruin that friendship. So if I were you, I would go out with your ex, that way you have him and a best friend, instead of a boyfriend and an ex.

Think about your feelings. If you like your ex boyfriend more then go with him. Don't string your best friend along though. You may have to tell him what's going on and that your ex is going to ask you out. By you telling him it's a better chance he will understand than finding out some other way. You don't want to ruin the friendship. Just be honest, don't lie or make reasons up. Follow your heart and what you want. Good luck.

I'd probably stick with the ex, but then again, your best friend is your best friend for a reason, and that's because they are always there for you.

Try evaluating your feelings as much as possible you make a decision, because which ever one you choose, you'll have to do 1 of 2 things. Break up with them, or live with them for the rest of your life. Think about what is best for you, and what makes you happier. I would rather date my best friend rather than my ex. (That's my situation) just because I can be with my best friend for long periods of time without sexual activity and just have fun with her, but my ex, different story. Break ups happen because humans like variety on their buffet, so take the ex you already know in and out, or your best friend and have a doubt, but a possibility of a very happy and long term relationship. Or you could just not date either of them, totally up to you. Best thing to do has already been said by Loulou11: follow your heart. But make sure your brain has a say in it too! =)

Ok, my best friend has asked me out twice in the past 24 hours :S
We went to the cinema today to see Twilight, it was really good but he tried to kiss me and that kinda ruined the whole thing. I didn't really class it as a date, because we're not going out, but I think he did.
Today is when I realised that I don't have any romantic feelings for him, just friendly feelings. But how can I tell him this, my friends tell me I've been giving off the wrong signals because I've told him I would kiss him if I was single. I was really only joking, but I think he took it seriously. How can I get myself out of this situation?

well if your best friend ask you out go for it because your young and if you keep having feelings for your ex then you wont know how to get rid of them when you really fall in love so just date for the mean time and don't get to serious unless your really into the guy and he's really into you I think thats an answer to your question?
