Why are some people so willing to believe in a philoshophy, made up my one man named darwin. (look I can show time lapse cartoons of an aomeba turning into a man over a period of a million years.) and they will not give a second thought to a creationist standpoint?

Darwin didn't invent evolution, it had already been around as an idea for thousands of years before he wrote Origin of Species. What made Darwin significant, he was the first to actually gather volumes of evidence and compile it into a theory, then publish it for scentific review. And that theory has been expanded quite a bit since Darwin's day, with much, much more evidence to support it.

Why do creationists insist on attacking Darwin when the evolution debate comes up? The theory hasn't sat still for 150 years, ya know. Then again, most creationists use sources from the 1940's when they debate...maybe that's why.

Because its more logicall...
and it wasnt just made up by Darwin, thousands of scientists around the world have agreed on it..

creationist theory however, has no evidence and was more then likely made up.

darwins theory is supported by the fossil record, creationism is supported by faith- and a book.

I choose to believe in evolution.

Yeah, I don't get it either... And just being in 10th grade, I can tell you that the evolutionary theory isn't proved to be true. The process goes hypothesis, theory, THEN law. If it's not a law, it's not 100% without-a-doubt true! Plus, other laws goes against the evolutionary theory. The 2ND Law of Thermodynamics says that all things naturally get worse (entropy) so how could a fish naturally become an intelligent human being? If I wasn't a Christian, I still wouldn't believe in evolution because I like to think that there is a bigger reason for why we are here than "chance." I'd like to think that there is a purpose and meaning to why we're here and what life is. And I believe God is that purpose and meaning. :]

Not "believing" in evolution is like not believing in gravity.

Darwin didn't invent it. I believe God did, though! No evidence against that in the Bible, in my opinion...

Believe it or not, the basic theories of darwinism have been around long before christianity, they don't exactly refute the bible's teachings either, they simply say that all life is connected and that different creatures are different because their differences make it easier for them to live where they are.

Creationism tends to leave people with the idea that evolution is a just a theory.

This is misleading. Evolution is better seen as the foundational theory for biological structure, and a model for the constraints for living organisms.

Paco, the only reason THE Evolution is a theory is because we didn't observe the the evolution of the current life today. Evolution is a scientific fact. And concerning your comment on entropy, it's called natural selection.

The concept of a scientific law is closely related to the concept of a scientific theory. A scientific law describes an observation in nature while a scientific theory explains it.

A good read: "Tornado in a Junk Yard"

Tornadoes in junkyards don't relate to carbon componds, or molecular events that impose order and law.

Now if you put marbles in a box and shake it, at the right level of intensity, they will sort themselves into orderly layers arranged into a regular pattern. Applying a tornado to the marbles would not yield this result, it's simply the wrong form of stimulation.

Whoever claimed a tornado in a junkyard had anything to do with evolution has not put 10 minuits of research into it, or are hoping to convince others who will not bother to put 10 minutes of research into it. Leave it to creationism to use bad "conjecture" to "prove" their point.

Obviously to the unbiased observer, creationism is a mix of mostly ignorance and fantasy. Of course the ancients would have made up stories to explain their origins, they exist in a lot of cultures not just in the Bible.

God created us. I got proof, but since most of you are not willing to believe, I will not share it with you.

I would love to see this proof, lol

natural selection would make species stronger, not weaker, as the weak ones would be slower and get eaten, or not catch prey and starve to death.
