oh lol haha im the opposite im region 2 because im in europe but I buy a lot of region 1 dvds when im in america ye you need to buy a multi region dvd player but there are codes on the internet that wil make it multi region just type in how to make insert dvd player brand and model multiregion into google and you should hopefully get your answer but most new laptops should be multi region I just bought a dell inspiron and its multi region
