Err.. i am not understanding this.

Asked by apologists 10 months ago, 11 answers.

Timothy Geithner was picked by Obama as the man to be in charge of the IRS.
Liberal response He is a great pick from his worshipfulness‘! It’s not like he killed anyone.

Joe the Plummer was going to vote for McCain.
Liberal response “This means...

that McCain is supported by criminals and can not be trusted.

What is the difference? I mean besides the obvious that Obama is impervious to bad mistakes and we can not fathom the wisdom that is his holy greatness?

First off, Geithner has paid the taxes that he allegedly overlooked. As of the November election, Joe the plumber had not. Second, I never heard anyone say anything about Joe being a criminal. And the only reason his tax status became an issue was because he was accusing Obama of planning to raise his taxes, taxes at the time he still hadn't paid.

And I also think that it was more than approriate to scrutinize Geithner's tax issues very closely. They were, and it appears to be a mistake, and not an actual attempt to evade taxes.

Move on...

Move on? Mistake? So what you are saying is that only democrats make mistakes? Then why should we elect them?

This is pretty much a non-response to jimahl's post. There's really nothing anyone can say except encourage you to go back, re-read his post, and attempt to digest the words again.

No, that's what America has just come FROM.

Anyway, he answered your question in his first post. The answer may not be to your liking, since it explained how this isn't as big a deal as you're making it, but he answered it nonetheless.

apologist, so far you have made quite a few assumptions in this question.

So what you are saying is that only democrats make mistakes?

In other words you cant answer, ok I get it.

So this is what America has come to, we fill our jobs with failures.

People who make mistakes are perfect for running America!!!

Do you see a pattern? Nothing I said in my initial answer or followup in anyway could lead you to these assumptions. It seems like you are just making things up. Are you unable to repond to what I actually say, so you just imply things that were not said?

I understand where you're coming from, apologists...the inconsistancy...having just come thru 8 years of hearing about crooks, mistake makers, and ineptness of the Bush years...we wonder where's the change?? That crooks and mistake makers are now acceptable...I guess...

No I didn't fail to read, or understand...I'm talking in general...including possible conflicts of interest that Hillary might have (due to Bill's interests)...etc... To me?? Simply, politics as usual...

Joe the plumber, who already couldn't pay his taxes (or maybe he forgot) believed that his taxes would go even higher...just a joe blow on the street, like millions of others...and he was referred to as a criminal (OMG...how could HE talk about taxes, when he didn't pay his own!!)...Still, he wasn't a man looking to be Treasury Secretary...

Actually, I'm surprised that Geithner's forgotten taxes raised your eyebrow a bit...
