Eric's the younger brother of tv journalist Veronica De La Cruz, who inspired the start of this whole campaign on Twitter. Reznor and Nine Inch Nails - and most importantly their rabid fans - helped raise an amazing amount of money in almost no time to speed Eric's acceptance into a suitable transplant facility...he's still awaiting a heart. But, yes, NIN really stepped up on this.
