Enough time to babysit?

This summer I don't have much to do, and it would be nice to make some money.
There are only like 40 days left of the summer.
Do you think that would be enough time to take a babysitters course and everything?
I live in a kinda small town. There's like only one small grocery store and everything.
Do you think that I could find anyone to babysit and all that within 40 days? Or would it take longer, maybe?
What do you think?

and please don't just say, "Well, it all depends on blahblahblah."
Because that doesn't help very much.

Become CPR certified. Put up flyers on popular PARENTING spots. Clothing stores, baby stores, toy stores. The more official you look, the better your chance. I got a gig getting paid 100 bucks a week plus perks watching a little boy everyday. At fourteen, that kind of money is incredible lol

I suggest trying to find a job doing odd jobs for people. There are a lot of people who are old or disabled and they need things done that they can't do like doing stuff outside, working in their garden, etc.

I don't know of any babysitting classes (although there should be). Even if there were any, I don't think you would have time to do the class and find a job too before you go back to school.

You could put an ad in the paper or post it at the store about doing odd jobs. But you'd have to be careful about going to work for just anyone. Have a parent or another grown-up go with you to check on any job like that. Or you could ask people that you already know and trust.

I also just realized that I can also babysit after school and on the weekends. >.<

Try craigslist.org , select your local city and look under jobs or search for "babysitter" .

However, be VERY cautious who you deal with on there. Lots of weirdos.
