The most natural way to get more energy is to exercise. Unfortunally, with all the vitamins and herbs out there you don't know what's harmful to you and what the side effects include. I agree with you, caffine and especially caffine pills are the worst to get addicted to because eventually your body will require the caffine just to function normally.

Because you're crunched for time and are not able to hit a gym or pop in an exercise tape, try going out with your son and exercising. By taking your son in the carriage or on a bike and jogging or walking around the block a day, this will give you the exercise you need so you'll be able to get the energy you want. Your son will also be able to get out of the house and catch some scenery. Aside from walking around the block you can visit your nearby park, walk to your library, walk to the nearest playground. By doing this you'll be exposing your son to new and different activities and spending quality time with him aswell.

Exercising doesn't have to be a boring chore like running on a treadmill for an hour, it can be interactive and can actually seem like you're not exercising at all. Just stay active and you'll notice that you'll have more energy throughout the day.

In addition to exercising make sure you're getting a well balanced diet and at least 8 hours of sleep. By including a moderated amount of protein, carbohydrates, fruits, and vegetables you'll notice a difference in your energy and your figure. Stay away from soda and fast foods because they tend to make you feel bloated and feel heavy thus making you feel tired and lazy.
