Emo hair?

I have super curly hair and I used to have a side bang that I would straighten every morning because its part of my look/style. I just got my hair cut the other day and they got rid of my side bang. I have a lot of volume in my hair...

now because of all the layers that my hair dresser put in dont get me wrong I like it but when I straighten it it looks horrible I was wondering is there any way to make my hair more emo again im not aloud to dye it for a while so I don't know what to do.
Please help me out

I think just straighten it and try some gel and mess it up alittle...I would say some other products but your a guy and I'm not sure how'd you feel about using herbel essence :/

and yea I can control it I just dont know what to do with it. im stuck with like 80's metal hair or a ferrah fawcett hair do. I need some other options before school starts

Go back to the stylist and explain that you like the cut before you flat iron it but not after and if there is a way he/she can fix it so it looks good both ways. Most stylists will redo it for free if you are unhappy and some will be jerks and not.
