Emo: curly or straight hair?

Im emo and am I supposed to have straight short hair? Because mine is very curly and short. and usually emos have short straight hair with a color on the end. and they also have hair covering one eye and I dont so... I want to know if its supposed to be...

First of all, why would you label yourself like that? Nobody should want a label, steriotyping is childish. Everyone should be their own person. Don't try and look like someone your not, honestly, be yourself. You weren't born a copy, so don't become one.

Emo is a genre of music, and unless you are a music note, I higly doubt your anything except for a poser.

um. if you think that being emo is all about just looking the stereotypical part, then you're obviously not emo. go get a life.

^geez guys a little harsh she wants advice not a lecture! most people who are considered emo happen to have straight hair but I wud keep urs curly it looks really good!

really emo is all about being differt it is true that most emo kids have short staight hair, I do, but its always good to look different than anybody else emo or not. if you want it straight than use a straightener if not just go with the flow. iam always picky and it takes forever to do my hair sometimes ill crimp it to give it a little extra flair that no one else has.also color is great and really popular in emo harstyles.

hahaha Nah, If you style it right! It will look fine curly.. mine is just as curly as yours.. and I gave myself really long bold bangs and cut it about shoulder length..Mine is naturally black, but I added a couple of colored faux extensions in a couple times a week to give it a more edgy look.

wow last time I checked, emo was a music genre, not some exclusive club only 4 dead straight heads...if your hairs not straight and if your not willing to change urself/give up your uniqueness to fit a mold, your a poser??
all these so called emos go around calling curly heads posers because theyre hair is different and because they dont want to destroy it/spend huge amounts of money to fit a 'stereotype'
ironically these same emos who you see on emobucket or emo corner attack you for labeling them or calling them 'emo'.
and that theyre being 'unique' so to speak
ironically all the straight haired ones say you have to have straight hair and look like them, then these same people say being emo is about being 'unique'

figure out what the hail you are. if your emo your emo. if you call urself emo and tell other people not to, then your just havin an identity crisis. so dont ridicule pple for not fitting a stereotype that you cant even decide you are or not
