Not necessarily. Of course it would be odd/depressing to see a loved one dead. I don't think that is a sign that you shouldn't be an embalmer. But gosh, I think you are strong and extremely brave to do something like that. Crikey!

I've been wanting to be a Vet since I was two or three, but now, I want to do something different because I would not be able to handle euthanasia. I think what you need to do is think of all aspects of the job, and all situations. Definitely give it more thought if you're debating.

It was because it was someone you knew. When you work in that field, you rarely work on people you know, because it is a conflictof intrest. Keep going for it, and try it out...
