Electro-shock therapy

Do they still treat people that have schizophrenia with electro-shock therapy?
Why did they even do that to begin with?

yes they still do shock therapy. and it began to calm the people who had schizophrenia. but now they don't do it as often as they used to becuase they have more useful ways to help with out hurting the people.

Yeah, they're starting to find good used for it now. Remember, the brain is mainly run on electric pulses. Everytime one of you muscles moves it gets and electric signal from your bain to move, so it's sorta natural.
