What does it mean when you turn your guitar to drop c or your one-half step down or turned to drop d??? Im really new to guitar but I cant learn any songs til I no what these mean?

when you have your guitar properly tuned EADGBE drop d is when you drop the tuning on the low E down to a D the same note as the third string down just an octave lower. a half step down means all 6 strings are tuned flat of standard. EbAbDbGbBbEb. drop c is a whole other thing that you should wait a little bit to expirement with. its a little harder on your strings and is really hard to get in tune. hope that helps good luck.

Im no Rock star but im pretty sure that if your a half step down that all you strings are too lose, maybe needs tuned better. Drop c an drop d might also be tuning??

drop c - if your first playing it'll feel very sloppy. many bands play in it.
