Do you need to have online banking for ebay?

I am with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and I know that you have to register at the actual bank to use online banking, but when you make a bank deposit on eBay to pay for your purchase, do you need to have online banking activated, or is it...

eBay usually goes through PayPal or credit card.

You would need to set up a PayPal account, and that's where you would submit your banking information...as far as I know, you don't require online banking to do so.

yeah, I'm pretty sure it's credit card or anything that proves your over 18 and all that stuff. im sure anyone who owns a bank account can access online banking, so say a 6 year old has an online bank account - they can't buy things on ebay, cause that'd just be weird. and way to easy for anyone to buy stuff without being a mature age

You can make a bank deposit on eBay, it doesn't have to all be done with either a credit card or PayPal, which I both have access too, I just thought this might be easier.
