My day job is consulting, which makes me a living. This site, FunAdvice, is a hobby site for me & the other two people that help manage & run it, and then there are dozens of volunteers that help out including the advisors here.
If you want to make a living on the 'net...work hard, be creative, and try to solve a problem that a lot of people have in an interesting, fun way.

Best,

I agree with thedude. I make a little money here on the questions I have asked by using the rev share on the home page. Sometimes I make a little more money here. Sometimes less. But it is steady and keeps coming in every month. I also have monetized my own little websites that started as informative projects and I needed to find a way to keep them free to use as well as making me money. Affiliate programs did very little for me, but Adsense has gotten me a good addition to my regular income now.
I work from home online. I get a check every two weeks. It is a real job and you have a w-2 and everything. The site that I work for is http://www.westathone.com.
