Dying my hair again

I dyed my hair brown after dying it black 2 times...I want it back to black but I dont know what to do...because I know how hard it is to dye it back to a light color...what should I do...??? I love black hair...but my boyfriend likes me with highlights and all that going on! Grr...

Okay, I'm trying to understand this question. First you said that you want to dye it back to black and then you said you want it a light colour? If you mean that you want black hair with some lighter highlights then what you need to do is go to a salon. They will most likely bleach the highlights then do another colour afterwards.
