Dying my hair

Asked by xjessiicax about 1 year ago, 5 answers.

I have brown hair its not naturally that dark. just a medium brown but I want to dye it quite a light blonde. I've never been blonde before and im aware you gotta be patient and it takes time and stuff but whats the difference between getting it done at...

id reccomend getting it done at the hairdressers
the hairdressers know what they're doing
and they have much more knowledge at hair dying and stuff.
plus if you do it at home and something goes wrong u'll regret it
I think they bring you a shade lighter gradually at the hairdressers and yeah it may take time but it will be worth it

I recommend going to the hairdressers!! especially if you're going from kinda dark to really light, the hairdressers will probably have to bleach your hair first, so it won't get damaged!! and as ilovemetal has pointed out, they're more experianced and know what they're doing!! yupps, it takes a longer time and may be pricy... but you MOSTLY come out with better results, than trying to dye it youself!!

It's not hard really.

Just get bleach, or a bleaching kit, and follow the directions on the box. Bleach it until it lifts to a fairly bright shade of yellow/golden. Wash hair thoroughly, be sure not to get it in your eyes.

Take blonde hair dye, apply according to directions.

It's possible to do yourself, but not easy. It's hard to make sure you got all the spots on your head, especially on the back of your head if you're doing it by yourself.

The perk to taking it to a hair dresser, is that you will get the results you want, without a doubt. And the dye most salons carry for hair coloring, is much better than anything you're going to buy from the store.

For better quality I suggest getting it done at a salon by a professional. For a lower price (way lower) and a shorter amount of time I suggest doing it yourself at home.
