Can i lighten black dyed hair with a kit?

I have naturally dark dark brown hair. A few moths ago i dyed my hair black( a store bought dye kit) and the a few weeks later i went to a salon and got full head highlights. I want to dye my hair red or possibly a light light brown. Anything lighter...

than black. Could i get a store bought kit and dye my hair that way??? Please Help!!

Hi,

Once you dye your hair black, it's pretty difficult to get your hair any lighter unless you go to a salon or strip your hair..both of these things will probably damage your hair though.

THe best thing you can do is let your hair grow out and then cut the parts that are black off. or cut it short .. do not bleach the hair it only will damage it..
