Dye my hair red

For years I have had my hair a blue black dyed, but will always fade out before three weeks. Now I have decided to dye it a dark intense red (an example of the hair color I want to achieve is jesse from the queen of the damned movie), what is the recomended brand and dye title I should use, along with developer. The last thing I want to do is bleach my hair.

well its going to be hard to get a dark red with black hair.
its up to you what brand to use, from manic panic to the ones you can pick up in the mall or pharmacy. but youll want to lighten your hair as ,much as possible. try to get it around a lighter brunette colour and then dye it red, that way the colour will still be dark red but itll show up more

if your hair is really dark, you're gunna have to bleach it, or lighten it, unless you want your hair to just have a tint ? I haven't seen the movie.

Um... Colour XXL live, they're good, they last for ages, and come in loads of awesome colours. I used to have vampy red hair.
