Drums or piano??

Jasmine You (Versailles ~Phlharmonic Quintet~) Asked by yumiyukai 12 months ago, 19 answers.

Okay, I'm getting a set of drums, and I'd really love to learn to play them, but I also want to play the piano and can only afford lessons for one or the other. what do you suggest??

I would say piano
it is more classy
and it is so perfect to listen to
and drums are a little more easy
piano is a little more of a challenge

Piano.. I think playing the piano helps you find yourself.. like emotionally. Piano pieces tend to be emotional and moving...

It's easier to self teach on drums, because you don't have to know music theory to do it well. So I would self teach on drums, and pay for lessons for paino. The little music theory you need for drums will spill over from piano.

My number one choice?
Piano. I have both a piano, guitar, and drum set and taught myself to play each one my own. I ended up taking piano lessons because the extra guidance was really helpful!

I would go for the piano lessons because the drums use the treble clef and the piano uses treble and bass clef so once you finnish with the piano get a book from a music store and it will be very easy to play because you know all the notes to the treble clef

I would recommend drums because I tried to learn to play the piano but it really bored me. but it depends on your interests and what music you like.
