I want to be a drummer because I'm insanely good at the drums, but I'm afraid to tell my friends or anyone because I'm afraid that they'll laugh or make fun of me behind my back because I don't seem like that type of girl who would drum. But people...

always say that your friends wouldn't make fun of you if they are your real friends, but I don't want people to laugh at my dreams!

Why would they laugh at you? That's just stupid. Drumming is a kicka*s talent. It's not just for guys or certain people... any guy OR girl can be a drummer. If your a good drummer and think you've got what it takes, go for it. Don't let anyone ever stand in the way of your dreams. If they're your true friends, they'll stand by you and support you. Don't let other people make your choices in life. Your life, your choices. Your the only one that controls your life and what you accomplish/where you go in life. Even if things wouldn't work out exactly how you wanted them too, it's still ok. Why? Because you gave it your best. Don't give up, anything can happen.

I'm a girl, I play drums - and I'm telling you right now, it's worth it! and besides, if you're already good at drums... then you're already a drummer. if your 'friends' laugh at you, they're not your friends.

if they laugh at you theyre not you friends, thats true.
but if that's your dream, then follow it.
dont worry about what youll friends will think.

they dont control who they are, or where your going in life.

I'm a girl and I play percussion including drums and barely any of my friends can play the drums and they never made fun of me. I didnt seem like I was the type of girl to drum either until the sixth grade. trust me if they make fun of you than just show off your skills and get some other friends who love your drumming.
