yes it can any type of overdose is bad for your body, even water, you have to be able to keep at a popotion of everything. It can hurt your body and make you very ill
you can die from it but it'll be really hard it'll more less hurt your liver thow I take four pills every four hours because I have back problems and the doctor said too and I'm not dead yet.
Tylenol is one of the more tortuous methods of killing yourself. It doesn't take much, but after the initial feeling sick period you will get better, and then die of liver failure days or years later, depending on the dose you took.
If you are caught and treated immediately after the OD you will get a hose in your stomach to drain the meds out, and tube in your bladder to measure your pee and you take a medicine that smells like rotten eggs every couple of hours to counteract the OD. You may be restrained. You won't have any sedation or pain meds tahe we would otherwise give because- d'uh- you've just OD'ed and we want your body to use all it's resources to filter out the Tylenol, and not have to work on any other meds.
The rule of thumb is no more than 4G of Tylenol every 24hours, but rarely people can get liver damage from even that much- especially if they are drinking at the same time.
Acetaminophen was almost not approved by the FDA for over the counter use because of the potential for easy, unintentional overdose. There are commercials on tv currently, by Tylenol, on the dangers of not following the directions. My cousin was in the ICU after taking 14 acetaminophen. It is not a medication to be played with.
I googled this problem and came across this website because tomorrow I will be attending my aunt's funeral service. She was admitted into ICU on a tuesday night...and slowly her whole body started shuting down. I do not know ecactly how many she took but it was a large dose. In less than a week all her organs were dead, except her heart. Acetaminophen is not something to play with.
