Driving insurance & good grades

If you're a teenager and starting to drive, will your insurance rate be lower if you get good grades in school? I heard that if you get good grades in school the insurance company thinks that you'll be better on the road..

No. I've never heard of that. But who knows maybe some insurance companies do that.

Many insurance companies will offer a better rate to students who hold a 3.0 GPA or higher and can show a conscientious attitude and mature judgment.

You can also help reduce your rates by taking a driver's education course and owning (or driving) a reliable-type vehicle (not a sports car).
