Limewire is not legal. Its stealing music. You have to BUY the music through a company, like iTunes, or go buy the CD at a store, otherwise, you are stealing.
I'm sorry, but there are no places to get free music that are legal, simply because artists and record companies want to make money from what they sell,

Actually Limewire is legal. You are not downloading from the 'internet' itself or ripping off artist, you are downloading from members who are registered with limewire. Basically, when you register with limewire you are opening up your files on your personal computer to be shared with millions of other users. Example Below

In Mircosoft Media I have Ripped a CD to my libary, this CD now is a file on my computer... After registering with limewire, they now have access to that CD that I have saved to my computer. If you go and register, you too will have access to the CD and people will have access to your media files too. (when you register they let you customize your file sharing)

Now keep in mind, you can't download those files to an mp3 player. Limewire is for personal use only, you can't use it to download millions of songs and video... they will notice your use and take legal action : read the terms page first

So, since you can't download to your mp3, simply save the music to your computer and sync it of brag it to your mp3 player.

Lucky025, any free music is illegal. The whole idea is that its paid for, not shared. If you GIVE someone a physical cd that wasn't burned, BOUGHT, it is legal. if its a copy and you still have the music, its illegal. And file sharing is illegal, its just like if I started burning copies of an album and started handing them out to random people on the street, ILLEGAL. There is no such thing as free. you either pay, borrow, or steal. Thats how the world works.

Also, people have been caught for stealing music by file sharing, WITH LIMEWIRE. It is ILLEGAL. Besides, Limewire LOOKS good, but really the only thing your doing is waving a bright a$$ orange flag at the feds and yelling 'ME! ME! OOO PICK ME!! ARREST ME, I'M STEALING MUSIC!!!'. The only smart way to dl illegally...well, I can't tell you that, because the swat would bust down my door in half a second from when I hit 'Post Reply'
