According to God's Word, the Bible, Planet Earth will never 'end' in the sense of being forever done away with. It will, however, be radicallyreshaped by God's creative fire into a planet, or world, much different thanit is presently.
Jesus' disciples asked him in the Olivet discourse to tell them when the end of the world would come. Actually, they asked: when will be the end of he age? The question involved the end of human history as it had been known to that point. That age about which they questioned the Lord is still going on in our time.
Jesus answered by giving a list of prophetic signs that will precede HisSecond Coming. Christ indicated that the world, as it was then known, andi s now known, would end when He returned. Revelation tells us that Jesus' Millennial Kingdom will be the next 'earth age.'
It will last 1000 years, after which time the Great White Throne judgmentwill take place, where all lost people of all ages will be judged andsentenced to eternity apart from God. Hell is their final place ofresidence, from which there will be no escape.
Planet Earth will then be remade into something more glorious than can beimagined or described by the humanmind, this side of Heaven.Peter, the apostle, through Divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit, gives usjust a glimpse of Earth's ultimate destiny:
'But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which theheavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt withfervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burnedup. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner ofpersons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking forand hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being onfire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a newearth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.'(2 Peter 3: 10-13)God's Word promises:
'One generation passes away, and another generation comes; But the earthabides forever.' (Ecclesiastes 1:4)
Only God knows the timing of these events...Hope this helps !!
From like everywhere...everyone knows about it I just wanted to know if other people then me believes that the world is going to end on December 21, 2012 ...
Have you been watching the history channel. I only ask because I saw this program about that the world ending on that date. Honestly I think its intersting but you have to look at these kind of things with perspective. Many people thought the world would end in 2000 but it didn't. Human will always be fasinated with when the world will end but nobody truly knows for sure. Nosterdamus perdicted the end of the world as well. He said it would follow a 27 year war and all these othr things. There are many profit that have perdicted the end of the worls. I think 12-21-12 is just like the other ones just a perdicition and usually just speculation.
I don't think that anyone can predict the exact date.
But it is kind of scary when people say stuff like that.
I also just realised december is the 12th month, 21 backwards is 12, and 2012...well, has 12 in it.
It sounds like its been set up in my opinion.
haha no I don't believe that... just like when 06-06-06 came everyone was like THE DEVIL THE DEVIL!! and then nothing happened lol.
isnt dooms day the 23 of december of 2012?
No one knows the day nor the hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Matthew 24:36
I haven't heard this last date yet? What are they predicting this time?
hahaha I know I was all alone on that day 6-6-0-6 I was terrified...
Maybe it has to do with the Mayan calendar. No matter the source, it's garbage.
Yes. complete garbage. Think of how uneducated the ancient mayans were SO many years ago... who would be stupid enough to believe that?
For a list all the 'doomsday' predictions that have come and gone, see this website:

Not only is 12-21-12 not the end, neither is any other day in the foreseeable future. Humans will have gone extinct from evolutionary forces long before the earth is destroyed.
Barring a visit from a rogue meteorite/asteroid, toadaly is right. Let's hope we get our act together before these things take us out.
I believe it, wouldn't surprise me anyway. So im living life like it will end in 2012, mine as well be preparred
Great Answer, Amblessed ... torikeene ...
The bible warns us to stay ready to meet our Savior. It warns that sudden destruction can come at any time. We know this to be true, in our day.
Think of the victims that have already been claimed, by war, famine, earthquake, sunnami, accidents, etc.
Our news is constantly bringing us harbringers of death and destruction. We get immune to it, we see it so often.
The thing that we need to ask ourselves, is this. If I die tomorrow, am I ready to face Christ? Have I received what he has to offer? Am I following his way? Will my deeds hold up to scrunity? Will he be pleased with me, or will he say, 'Depart from me, ye workers of iniquity, I never knew you. '
To a believer, these are the most awful words that could ever be spoken, because they speak of an eternity without God. Completely shut out from his light, and love.
Having bypassed every opportunity to receive salvation. Choosing to go our own way. Turning our backs on the one that loved us. That died in our place, as a substitunary offering, to redeem us from our fate.
Multitudes in the valley of decision.
Seek him , while he may be found.
Yesterday is gone.
We are not promised a tommorrow.
We have today.
That is why it is called The Present.
A gift from God.
Life is what he gave us, what we do with it, is our gift back to him.
The Mayan calander end on that day,
doesn't mean it'll end.
Though many end of the world stories do have sometype of eclips going on in them
you never know.
Look some end of the world stories up from the mayan, the norse, & a few other ones, it's interesting.

Doomsday!
Does anyone else believe that december 21, 2012 will be dooms day? Please comment and tell me your opinion.
