Donald duck

Hi Bimjob,

I saw your answer to another post asking how to do the Donald Duck voice. As you can assume, I'd really like to know how to properly do this voice. My friends and I actually spend most of our time talking to each other in silly voices; it's...

to the point I wouldn't recognize their real voices, haha. But I'd love to whip this one out and blow them away.

I've done a lot of reading about this topic and watched numerous videos. And everyone says this takes time and patience.

I guess I'd really appreciate a basic run-down of how it's done, like specific tongue placement. You said the sound comes from your mouth, so do you even use your vocal cords at all (in other words, you don't speak in a high pitch, you let the air from your mouth do it). Also, in my practicing, I know my breathing is completely wrong because I usually become lightheaded after trying it once.

Like I said, I've done a lot of research and have tried to practice, but it's no use when I don't know if my practicing is even proper.

I'd really appreciate any help, sir!
