Most kids nowadays think the grass is greener on trhe other side of the fence. Wait until they live on the other side a few months, then they will be asking their parents if they can move back. The problems w/kids these days is that parents give them too much money and they don't have enough responsibilites to keep them busy . These kids don't realize how lucky they are to have a good home. Lots of children out there who have no one and would gladly trade places with them.

The desire to move out concludes to some kind of detrimental environment for the child. A dysfunctional family, abuse, drugs and stress can be the culprit. There are a lot more sources today and many children and teens have access to a computer with internet.

I think that they want to just take the easy way out and not cope with problems in the home. Puberty is very difficult but they don't understand that its all part of growing up and learning to deal with problems, running away is NOT dealing with problems.

Sometimes they just have a hard home life and want to go somewhere where they feel loved and they sometimes they just want to be free to do what they want when they want.

Because most kids think it will be fun..no rules they think..well I moved out when I was 16..with my moms permission...BUT it was SOOOO hard..expecially raising a baby...I am now 19 and its still hard..my job kinda sucks...me and my husband might get evicted because our B*tch of a landlord...we hardly have money to pay for anything else besides rent and bills...for some people it may be easier..but it is not all that its cracked up to be...yes I like being on my own..but its REALLY hard sometimes...and I still go to my mom for help lol

it seems like the majority of the people who answered are adults, well heres a 16 year olds opinion...my moms a giant @$$ and I cant live with my dad or other family member because they disowned me when something happened so the only ones I have that are close to me are my friends, my mom never does anything except order me around so I am eager to move out to live on my own and not have to be judged by my mother and other family members
