Does this tick you off?

er Asked by whatintheworld 9 months ago, 11 answers.

When people make fun of people who self-injure? They say it is silly, and stupid, and not a real condition.
Also, when people make fun of Bulimics and Anorexics? Like it is just girls/boys who are begging for attention? Wannrexics sure, but real...

anorexics/bulimics. It ticks me off.
What about you?

It ticks me off when idiots say that cutting yourself or being depressed makes you emo
when feelings and disorders play no part in labels and sterotypes
cutting is self harm
and depression is a mental disorder
anyone can feel depressed, because everyone has problems
sadly though there are a lot of young kids who are cutting themselves for attention, and young girls as well as boys who are starving themselves, usually just because they compare themselves to unrealistic images, and have no idea how unhealthy they really are. but these kids arnt silly, there just uneducated about what there doing to themselves
if the media stops potraying people who look like sticks as normal
and idiots stoped saying oh you cut your so emo
then a lot less kids would be doing it
however they wont stop, so all we can do is help educate those people about what there doing is wrong, why its wrong, and other ways they could deal with there problems, ect

Fu*k yea it does, those people aren't in the world those self-injuring themself, they don't know what they are going through in life,it's like some people say, people that put down those who are down are called Major Jerks. I may not show it but I see it everyday and guess what I go through somewhat the same thing they go through, those jerks wouldn't last a day in there shoes. Just like what she said. ^^^

Yeah I know. I am bulimic...but I do NOT want to be. It is not like I woke up one day and thought, I think I will make myself throw up today.

Nope, and I don't intend on letting them know. They aren't the soccer mom/dad type...I honestly don't think they would care.

You really need to tell them Sweetie or a friend's mom or someone you can trust...you need to get help to get better. You deserve to live free from this illness...it will only get worse if you dont...
I dont know you or your parents, but I am sure they do and would care. Why not tell them? If they dont care, nothing will be diff from them right? Are you scared to change and get treatment? Beleieve me, you think you have control over your body and yourself, but this illness has the control, not you...same w/ my daughter...she lost that control long agao when she developed her E.D.
I am here if you ever need a listening ear...seriously...
I am just a single Mom concerned and I do know where you are coming from...
I wish you the best Sweetie and you deserve to just be a kid and not worry about what you are dealing with...please talk to someone!

Totally. People wouldn't tell me or do it infront of me but when I suffered from anorexia...I went to the hardest times. They dont know anything and all they do it talk crap about you! Just because they haven't gone through it...they're thinking is completely different from your. Thats why they will never understand...

Now that I am better they still talk about me as being the girl that was skinny and fat.
