A change in hormones can cause hair loss. I experienced it a lot when I gave birth to my kids. I get this occasionally now. If its always happening then I think you should see a GP.
omg! my freakin hair falls out by hand fulls.. okay not that much but its bad. im 14 what could this mean!!!
Ugh, doesnt it suck?!?! :|
Apparently stress has a huuuge affect on it!
Like if you think you're losing a lot of hair, that could stress you out, and make it even worse =/
welll, it's normal for most girls, espcially with long hair, to have hair that comes out on the hairbrush and in the bath. so much comes out because the roots are pulled out. because all the different hairs on your head do not go in the same exact way, with the movement of the brush in a section of hair, some strands are pulled it. don't worry about it. everyone loses hair in the bath/shower. it's completely normal so you don't need to worry!
when you pick up your hair out of the shower drain, it's supposed to be completely normal if the ball of hair is about as big as a marble. if the ball is significantly bigger then that, I suggest you should mention it to your doctor when you go in for your next check up.
I also have lots of hair loss.
bath, shower, hairbrush, it screws mine and my parent's hoovers up!
some of it could be due to stress...mine is more my eating disorder.
Oh so not eatting right does have an affect? Like I heard being really skinny causes it but im not that skinny hahah.
But the amount of stress I go through is reallly bad so..yeah, that may be it.
It's normal you grow about 100 new hairs everyday so it is normal to lose a few as long as it does not come out in clumps you should be fine.
sotchick,
This used to happen to me. I had to go to the salon to get special conditioner for it and it helped 100%. So, thats probley what you should do. The hair dressers there will definitly be able to help you out. Store bought conditioners wont work aswell. The hairdressers will be able to guide you through the process and you will leave with confidence.

The average person loses 75-150 hairs a day and the longer your hair is the more likely you will be to notice as it will catch onto furniture and in the shower drain more easily

Why do my hairs fall out so much?
Send me Fun Mail
Every time I have a bath without a doubt I've lost at least 30 hairs, I pull the drain you can see how much hair has came out of my head
Its really distressing!
Same with my hair brush- I cant remember this many hairs on my brush, every month its almost packed of hair!
Does this happen a lot or should I see my GP?
(I look after my hair a lot, with great care! :-b)
Much Love
